Towards a Science of Scaling for Urban Climate Action and Governance

Abstract The scaling of urban climate action and its governance is rapidly becoming a central focus in the literature policy debates. Building on broader inspired by related initiatives other fields, this article calls for development systematic “science scaling” governance. Such science may help to give better understanding how well-performing can be multiplied, accelerated broadened (ie horizontal vertical out, up down), it uncover trajectories towards systemic change cities deep scaling).
